Five nabbed for drugs is Kwatsaduza
The suspects were charged with possession and possible dealing in illicit substances.
Kwatsaduza – Five suspects, including a woman, were arrested over the weekend for possession and possible dealing in illicit substances in the Tsakani and Duduza areas.
The EMPD’s Drug Enforcement Unit members made the arrests. On June 3, the members cornered two males, aged 24 and 28, at Siyahlala Ext 1 in Tsakani.
They found on them 10 packets of crystal meth valued at R300 and R40 in cash.
Furthermore, around noon in the same area, a 36-year-old male was found with six Mandrax tablets valued at R300.

On June 4 at about 09:30, officers went to Ext 17B in Tsakani, where they cornered a 47-year-old male suspect with a bag of cannabis valued at R8 000.
Lastly, in Ext 3 in Duduza, a 27-year-old female was found with seven brown-wrapped plastic knots of nyaope valued at R300 and R70 in cash.
EMPD spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Kelebogile Thepa said the suspects were charged with possession and possible dealing in illicit substances.
“The suspects will soon appear in the Tsakani and Nigel Magistrate’s courts,” she added.
