Grade Four learners encouraged to attend acting classes at Leondale Public Library
The learners will be introduced to acting concepts such as improvisation, characterisation, music, arts and crafts, costume and make-up.
Kwatsaduza – The CoE launched a series of acting classes for Grade Four learners on June 3 at the Leondale Public Library.
The classes, aimed at introducing the learners to acting as a career, will be conducted every Friday from 14:30 to 16:00 until July 21 at the same venue.
Library cadets will facilitate the classes through a play called There’s Drama in the Library!
The learners will be introduced to acting concepts such as improvisation, characterisation, music, arts and crafts, costume and make-up.
Not only will they learn about these concepts, but they will also get to know how reading increases empathy and connecting with the characters.
The budding actors and actresses will better understand various cultures, relationships, and reactions to situations.
Furthermore, memorising acting lines improves memory, a skill applicable to many careers the learners might be interested in.
