Khalipha Foundation and Impumelelo Clinic join forces for community wellness drive
Clinic and foundation empower residents through screenings, education, and community support.
Tsakani – The Khalipha Foundation, in partnership with Impumelelo Healthcare Clinic, recently organised a community wellness campaign aimed at supporting vulnerable groups in the area.
Under the leadership of Sister Nompumelelo Mnyandu and Dr Bongani Mbatha, a leading bariatric specialist, the initiative sought to educate and empower residents, particularly parents of young children and elderly citizens, on the importance of regular health screenings.
For children, the focus was on growth monitoring, developmental assessments and vaccinations, all vital for detecting potential health issues early.
For the elderly, the campaign highlighted the significance of blood pressure checks, glucose testing and other routine screenings to help manage chronic conditions and prevent complications.
To further support the clinic’s work, Khalipha Foundation donated office furniture and related items, while Dr Mbatha’s practice provided food, refreshments and entertainment for children who attended the event.
“This initiative aligns perfectly with Khalipha Foundation’s mission to promote health and wellness in the community,” said Lebohang Mohapi of the Khalipha Foundation.
