Kwa-Thema U19 crowned Easterns Hub champions after dominant bowling display

Kwa-Thema U19 crush Hugenote to claim the Easterns Hub cricket championship.

Kwa-Thema – The Kwa-Thema Cricket Club hosted the U19 Easterns Cricket Hub Final at the Prince Thethe Oval on Saturday, where the home team delivered an outstanding performance to claim the championship title.

Batting first, Hugenote U19 were bowled out for just 35 runs, with Kwa-Thema’s bowlers dominating from the start.

Kwa-Thema then confidently chased down the target in just five overs, losing only five wickets, securing a convincing victory and the U19 Easterns Hub title.

Star bowler Owami Mahlangu was named Man of the Match for his stellar performance, taking six wickets for only 17 runs.

Head coach Thapelo Ditle praised the players for their teamwork and determination. “The boys played their hearts out. We’ve built a team that fights together on and off the field,” he said.

The win marks a proud moment for the Kwa-Thema Cricket Hub and highlights the growing cricketing talent in the community.
