Foundation uplifts over 120 Duduza families through annual donation drive
More than 120 families and 30 children benefited from the TVM Foundation’s annual donation drive in Duduza while 20 women received toiletry packs as the organisation continues its mission to support vulnerable community members.
Duduza – The Themba Victor Mahlangu (TVM) Foundation has once again made a lasting impact through its annual donation drive.
TVM Foundation held its drive at the Duduza Resource Centre on June 6, where over 120 families received pre-loved clothing and shoes.
In addition, 20 women received toiletry packs.
Established in 2023, the foundation’s primary objective is to restore the dignity of destitute members of the community.
The founder, Themba Mahlangu, says he has witnessed growth in the initiative.
“This year we had more than 120 adults and about 30 children who benefited from the drive, which is an increase from last year,” he said.
The foundation’s main activity is to collect clothes, shoes, and toiletries for young girls every year as part of its Celebrate Our Programme at the beginning of June.
Mahlangu addressed the beneficiaries, telling them to take care of the donated items and to take what they intend to use.
“We unfortunately don’t have any company funding; we are fully self-funded and also receive help from a few community members, including Evans Mbamba, who assisted with buying essentials for the dignitary packs,” he said.
TVM Foundation is planning a young women’s dialogue event targeting 30 women to discuss issues affecting them, as well as to feature motivational talks.

“At the end of the year, we plan to donate school shoes and uniforms to learners in need. We are also seeking partners and donors to help with food parcels for December, as many children rely on school meals.
“When schools close for the holidays, access to food becomes a serious challenge for many families,” Mahlangu explained.
He pleads with the community for assistance with storage space.
“We are in serious need of storage space to store all the items that community members donate. We would appreciate it if people donated school uniforms to assist learners,” he said.
Mahlangu appealed to businesses to sponsor the foundation so they can continue making an impact. Anyone who would like to assist may contact Mahlangu on 079 672 7989.
