Sporo lost against WorldXI

Winning seems to be a difficult mountain to climb for the Tsamaya League teachers' team as referred to by the league supporters, Sporo FC, following their loss against World XI on Sunday.

The game was played at Malandela Ground in Tsakane under cool weather conditions. The ground was filled with supporters who came out in numbers to watch the games and confirm their unshakeable support for the players.

When the whistle was blown to start the game, one could notice that some of the players’ focus was not on the field while others seemed to have stopped their training a month ago. However, the game continued.

Both teams struggled to score until Thabiso Tsotetsi scored the first goal for World XI giving a hard time to the teachers.

Noticing that Sporo’s defence was not strong, Tebogo Mretsela did not waste the chance that he got but put the ball behind the net making it even harder for Sporo to equalise.

With only a few minutes left before the end of the first half, World XI’s Abinar Mokoena made sure that the third goal was registered under his team’s name.

Because the time was over, the referee blew the whistle to end the first half with World XI in the lead.

During the second half Sporo seemed to have strengthened its defence and attacking more but it was too late for them as World XI ensured a much stronger defence. Sporo failed to score and the game ended with an overall score of 3-0.
