New constitution for KwaThema Martial Arts
KwaThema - After having officially established the KwaThema Martial Arts in 2012, the interim committee says their constitution is finally complete.
Shihan Michael Cindi, committee chairman, says when this structure was started, they wanted karate clubs from around KwaThema to be part of an association.
And from there this committee was formed and tasked by the veterans of martial arts in KwaThema, to build a constitution for the association.
This committee included shihan Edward Mtshali, sensei Botha Keletsane, sensei David More, sensei Elliot Sinqo, sensei Thabang Keletsane and shihan Michael Cindi.
“We cater for all styles of karate hence this is martial arts and not just karate.

“After a long time, we are finally happy to announce that we are done with the constitution of the KwaThema Martial Arts.
“As a result, on December 1, we will be delivering this constitution to the martial arts community. It is the first time having such a document for KwaThema,” he says.
He adds that they are inviting all legends, veterans, karate people from KwaThema including those doing judo and aikido to attend.
The celebration and presentation will take place at the Kenneth Masekela Secondary School from 5pm.

“From that presentation, it means we can move forward and have a selection of the official committee or executive.
“It is also important for us to involve our legends and veterans as they have played a big role in the sport.
“We also value their opinions and guidance,” he adds.
