Duduza woman arrested after EMPD seizes Mandrax and crystal meth in drug raid
A woman was arrested in Duduza on June 15 after the EMPD's Community Liaison Unit, working with other law enforcement agencies, uncovered Mandrax and crystal meth during an intelligence-led operation.
Duduza – The EMPD Community Liaison Unit, together with other security law enforcement agencies, arrested a female suspect for possession of drugs in Duduza on June 15.
CoE spokesperson Zweli Dlamini said officers were acting on intelligence regarding a female suspect allegedly dealing in drugs at the corner of Cold Breeze and Masechaba streets in Duduza.
“Officers proceeded to the identified address. Upon arrival, they found the suspect on the premises, introduced themselves, and requested permission to conduct a search.
“During the search, officers discovered and seized 23 half-tablets of Mandrax, 31 full Mandrax tablets, and four ziplock packets containing crystal meth, which were found concealed beneath a table,” he explained.
The suspect was arrested and charged with possession and possible dealing in drugs. She is set to appear in the Nigel Magistrate’s Court soon.
