ALBERTON SPCA would like to extend a huge thank you to Rocky Peak Spur in Brackenhurst for their continuing kindness in collecting food and blankets for the animals. “We would also like to thank the local community who take these items to the Spur to donate to us. It means a great deal and we very much appreciate each and every donation,” said Vanja Ingold, a SPCA member.
Without the support from the community the SPCA would not be able to care for as many animals as they do. They urge people to visit their Facebook page and see what dogs and cats they have up for adoption.
“We have pure breeds and mixed breeds all waiting for a forever home. You can visit us in Lincoln Road, General Alberts Park and meet your new furry friend”.
Don’t forget SPCA’s golf day:
Residents must also not forget about the annual golf day which is taking place on September 6 at the Reading Country Club.
“It’s going to be a great day and with the money we raise we will be able to start work building the new isolation kennels. This is essential to prevent the spread of disease. We are still in need of sponsors, prizes and golfers, so please support us.”
