This world-renowned circus is coming to town

Cirque Infernal offers non-stop captivating entertainment with astonishing and death defying acts.

THE Joburg Theatre is proud to present Europe’s famous Cirque Infernal on the Mandela Stage from September 6 to 23. Cirque Infernal offers non-stop captivating entertainment with astonishing and death-defying acts.

Cirque Infernal was created by Danny Varanne, who was part of Le Grand Cirque Adrenaline which was presented at Joburg Theatre in 2012. He headlined the motorcycle act, The Globe of Death, which left the audience in awe as they watched three bikers ride inside a globe of steel at speeds of up to 65km/h, all the while trying to avoid a collision.

“I am extremely excited to be returning to Joburg,” says Danny. “I have developed my appreciation for gothic and circus stories into Cirque Infernal, and I can’t wait for South African audiences to witness this breathtaking production. The show features two world firsts and thrilling jaw-droppers, as well as moments of pure poetry.”
