Good Samaritans pay APN’s vet bill

Your support can change the world of a vulnerable, abused animal.

Animal Protection Network (APN) is an NPO who’s daily duty is to rescue dogs and help find missing pets. But to keep on doing this they need funds to pay for pets’ medical bills.

Members from APN recently pleaded for some assistance regarding their outstanding vet bill of R12 000 and on January 6 members experienced what they call a miracle.

“An anonymous couple saw our plea for donations to settle our vet bill. Not knowing exactly what we are all about, turned up at the vet and settled our account in full,” Zuerina Venter, an APN member told the RECORD.

She described this as a miracle where two Good Samaritans opened their hearts to help an organisation like APN.

“We were all filled with tears and thankful hearts. How do you say thank you?

“We at Animal Protection Network have been blessed by many of you with your generosity of donations and support and are truly thankful to every one of you. Without you, we would not be able to give these furbabies the second chance they deserve,” said Zuerina.

The rescue work never stops for these members, and they always go out of their way to assist.

APN’s vision is to be an animal welfare group that saves and helps unwanted and or abused street dogs, cats and any other animals in need in Alberton and surrounding areas.

If you want to support APN, become a member or just make a donation, visit their website at www.animalprotection.co.za or contact Despina or Chris on 076 889 5981 or Zuerina on 082 850 9842.

The organisation relies only on funds that are either donated or raised. These donations don’t have to be money, anything that can be sold at a jumble sale, such as clothes or old appliances or chairs or toys, to name just a few things, are more than welcome as this is one of APN’s main sources of income.
