Rosemarie Schools visits Alberton SPCA

Grade R learners from Rosemarie Schools were excited to visit the Alberton SPCA on March 8, bringing with them a generous donation of food.

They had an opportunity to learn how to care for animals, how to report animal abuse and were also given a chance to visit some furry friends, which are up for adoption.

Alberton SPCA thanked the school for allowing children to learn more about the welfare of animals.

According to Megan Botha, principal at the school, through their visit, learners got a chance to experience the joy of giving.

“The staff at Alberton SPCA is very friendly, they introduced some of their animals and we learnt more about their needs. Rosemarie School is fortunate to have parents who support each one of our efforts, they give generously and this enables us to give back,” she said.

Botha stressed that all the health protocols were adhered to and that the children had a wonderful time in giving back to the facility.
