Alleged Mandrax manufacturer Thulani Mtotoba briefly appeared at Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court on June 20.
This is after the Brackendowns resident appeared in court on June 8 on charges of manufacturing and dealing drugs.
The decision to postpone his matter was handed down by the magistrate after the accused’s defence attorney was again not present during his appearance.
When asked by the magistrate whether Mtotoba chose new legal representation or to represent himself, the 51-year-old opted for legal aid representation.
Mtotoba, who was nabbed on what was believed to be a Mandrax manufacturing facility in his home in 2019, had his matter postponed to July 8.
