Four suspects are still behind bars for the Leondale petrol station shooting that occurred on April 14.
A fifth suspect, believed to be the gunman, is still at large.
Three people were shot during the event. One was declared dead at the scene and sent to the government mortuary, while two were sent to the hospital by a local ambulance.
The fourth victim, who was allegedly kidnapped by the accused suspects, was discovered dead in one of the neighbouring station policing areas,
Alberton SAPS Captain Manare Ramotshela said that as members of the protection services, they plead with the community to help them catch the fifth suspect.
“We would like as the police to ask anyone who may have information about these cruel remaining suspects to please inform us as he is dangerous,” said Ramotshela.
The four suspects were detained by the court and will return to Germiston Magistrate’s Court on June 24.
“Please do not try to capture him, just contact the SAPS and we will take it from there,” Ramotshela concluded.
