Forest Hill murder case postponed for disclosures

There will be disclosures as the chain statement, post mortem and a report from Teddy Bear Clinic are ready.

There seems to be light at the end of the tunnel as the Booysens Magistrate’s Court set the date for disclosures in the Forest Hill murder case.

Murder accused Kleave van Staden briefly appeared on July 7 and the date for disclosures was set for July 21.

The prosecutor told the court that the investigation was complete and ready for disclosure. However, in a dramatic event, the defence attorney was changed to Ms Munyai.

According to the mother of the accused, the previous defence attorney, Mr Modumaela was recused on July 4.

The magistrate asked the accused whether he agrees to remove the previous defence attorney, to which he agreed.

Van Staden is accused of murdering his wife, Jamillah, on January 8 in Forest Hill.
