Marist Brothers Linmeyer learners dress-up for Wear It Wild

In support of the Wear It Wild annual fundraising event, learners from Marist Brothers Linmeyer recently dressed up in wildlife dazzling looks.

In line with supporting the environment, learners from Marist Brothers Linmeyer recently dressed up in wildlife-inspired outfits.

This was in support of Wear It Wild, the World Wildlife Fund’s annual fundraising event.

Grade Five learners Isabella Reis, Nhlonipho Mzizi, Rahil Parbhoo and Maher Slim.

Since 1970, populations of wild species have decreased by half. Without the tireless efforts of conservation organisations like WWF, iconic species like rhinos and elephants could become extinct in our lifetimes.

Primary school IT teacher Tracey Bolland said: “We as Marist Brothers Linmeyer cannot let that happen. We rely on the support of our community to bring about a future where both people and nature prosper.

“The proceeds from the primary school went to WWF, while the proceeds from the secondary school went to Brainy Birds, a rescue and rehab centre for abused and abandoned parrots,” added Bolland.
