Glenvista High hosted a Colour Picnic Festival to officially welcome their 2023 Grade Eight class on November 26.
The parents and teachers were present to support the children. Yonesha Sing, the academic deputy principal, was the ceremony’s program director.
Thabile Morgan addressed the audience, emphasising that the students did not make a mistake by enrolling in the school. She also stated there will be no bullying of the children.
“All students will be treated equally, regardless of their diversity. All students will receive the higher-quality education that they deserve.”
The principal addressed the issue of expected discipline from learners, stating that parents, learners and teachers must all work together to shape these children’s futures.
Joe Mathebula, the deputy principal, addressed the issue of the school code of conduct, highlighting that bad behaviour will not be tolerated at school in 2023.
Amanda Ferreira has mentioned the issue of school uniforms.
Nhlanhla Maluleke, the school’s sports administrator, addressed the issue of extra-curricular activities and the learners were overjoyed to join the sporting teams.
