Maria’s Angels Foundation put smile on children’s faces

The Lighthouse and Look Forward Creative Centre children enjoy day out filled with fun.

Children from Look Forward Creative Centre and special education school The Lighthouse joined Maria’s Angels Foundation at Combo Foods and Tasca in Ridgeway for a couple of fun-filled hours on December 3.

Its chairperson, Victor Freire, said some moments will remain imprinted in their hearts forever.

“Our friends from the Final Few Biker’s Club collected a donation of colourful, cute handmade teddies from a knitting club called The Celebrations Retirement Village. Bless your precious hands, ladies. Thank you for all the time, love and work you put into making these special personalised gifts for the children. We appreciate you,” he said.

“After refreshments and a quick bite to eat, bike rides were the highlight of the day. Everyone was super awesome. All the children were well-behaved and patiently awaited their turn, smiling and laughing all the time. What a delight to have a first bike ride ever.”

Freire together with his deputy chairperson Rosalinda Franco dos Reis thanked the bikers for the happiness they spread.

“Your time and generosity shine through in your dedication and caring hearts. Also, Natasha Englund and Arthur Couto from TPS Security, thank you for your willingness in assisting us and making sure all the children were safe in our surroundings. Your presence, care and support are always appreciated.

“And our wonderful team of volunteers, thank you all for ensuring everyone got refreshments and was looked after. It was obvious that our ‘big children’ enjoyed their bike rides thoroughly too. A special day enjoyed by all and true as always, our Heavenly Father provided us with the best weather.

“Not long afterwards the heavens opened and poured down some beautiful rain. God bless everyone involved in the day’s joy and grant you and yours safety, love and light always. To God be the glory,” they said.
