Quick response from law enforcement agencies led to the arrest of two suspects for stealing fencing along N17 in Elandspark on January 8.
A resident of Elandspark noticed on their camera footage a suspect stealing the fencing and posted it on the Elandspark WhatsApp group.
Moffat View Sector 2 CPF chairperson and PRO Sagie Pillay said a few residents, with South End Security, responded and caught the suspect.
“Moffat View SAPS was contacted. The suspect directed Moffat View SAPS infrastructure unit and JMPD to a house in Roseacre where the other stolen fencing was recovered and taken to Moffat View Police Station. The second suspect was arrested.
Pillay extended appreciation and gratitude to Moffat View SAPS, JMPD, residents of Elandspark and South End Security for their quick response.
