Adopt Monti at the JSPCA

At first, the JSPCA thought Monti might not make it but he pulled through.

Every dog loves affection, to be played with, and to be called a good boy. Sadly, this dog had nothing like that.

He has no one to hug him, pet him or just show him some affection. Why? Because he had a skin condition called mange (which is treatable) but no one wanted to help him.

He was on the streets having to fend for himself. No one wanted to go near him when he approached people. So he wondered the streets alone, no home, no food, nobody to even try and help him.

Monti.

The JSPCA came across this sad looking dog on their outreach a few weeks ago. At first, they thought Monti (as the JSPCA named him) might not make it.

“He never knew kindness, how could he when all he knew was people chasing him away and telling him to ‘voetsek’. People in the area saw him but considered that he was not their problem,” said Liana Marx from JSPCA.

The JSPCA rescued this lost little soul and slowly nursed him back to health. It was a long slow road to recovery, but he finally made it.

Monti before he recovered.

After weeks of proper medical care, regular meals and lots of love and attention, Monti is ready to find a home. He is a young adult boy, but he does not like cats. He deserves a home to show him the world is not such a bad place and that there are still people out there who care.
