According to Thando Mashinini, Reamoleboha started reading proficiently in Grade R. As a result, she has a collection of best-selling books from around the world.

“Rea, as she is fondly known, decided to start this initiative to help children to gain access to these books because it might be difficult for them to afford them. The initiative also hopes to instil a love of reading in young people because reading, to her, is the basis of all knowledge.

Lethabo Mogano (GradeThree at Trinityhouse) achieved the Rising Star as well as the Super Reader award.

“R BookHire has a Kids BookClub attended by children who read books throughout a given time. They give prizes to the children who show the most growth based on the number of books they read during the period.

“Around 80% of the book club’s participants were TrinityHouse students in Grades Three to Five. The next club meeting will be in July during the school holidays, said Mashinini.
