Miss Earth South Africa 2023: Entries are now open

If you believe you could be an ambassador for your community and city, apply now for an exciting experience and fulfilling journey.

The Miss Earth South Africa Leadership Programme has opened the call for entries for 2023.

If you believe you could be an ambassador for your community and city, apply now for an experience which will be an exciting and fulfilling journey.

The leadership programme is aimed at empowering young women to be active citizens and engage in the protection of the place we call home, Earth.

This year will see the continued relationship with brand partners who share in the values and ethos of this platform, including Southern Sun Hotels, Brand South Africa, Skin Renewal and Europa Art. An exciting year of activities, events and initiatives lies ahead.

Catherine Constantinides, the executive director of the Miss Earth South Africa Leadership Development Programme, said they are celebrating 20 years of Miss Earth South Africa this year.

“We are excited to get to know our new group of young women who will enter our leadership programme this year. By working with young women throughout the country, we are developing a generation of role models who take action on the ground and inspire lasting positive change in our communities.

“Environmental education and awareness are critical in combating climate change and the legacy of the programme, which speaks for itself and is evident in the results of the many projects we initiated over the last two decades,” said Constantinides.

Applications are now open, and young women from across the country aged 18-27 are welcome to apply. If you are interested, email safusion@mweb.co.za or send a WhatsApp message to 082 5050 664 with your name, city, email address and cellphone number.

The event will be hosted by Southern Sun and Miss Earth South Africa at the Sandton Sun on September 9.
