JSPCA inspector rescues two dogs trapped in a hole

Looking up from a manhole several metres deep were the saddest eyes seen in a long time.

JSPCA senior inspector Diale rushed to an open manhole, just off the Golden Highway near Lenasia South, after receiving word that two dogs were trapped inside on May 19.

According to Liana Marx, the public relations officer of the JSPCA, nobody knew how long the poor dogs were trapped there, but they thanked the person who reported it to them.

“Looking up from the bottom of the manhole several metres deep were the saddest eyes seen in a long time. Both dogs were exhausted, and the husky looked like it might sink under the water at any time.

“Our inspectors had to act quickly by getting a harness and lowering one of them down to try and get to the dogs. The dogs were extremely weak and tired. Both were successfully removed and rushed to a vet for immediate assistance.

“We will update the post as soon as we have more details. We want to thank the person who did not want their name published for contacting us,” said Marx.
