Books proceeds help recyclers to keep warm this winter
Recyclers wish God to abundantly bless Deacon Walter Middleton.
A father and son collaboration in bookselling has done wonders for recyclers in the South.
La Rochelle’s St Patrick’s Catholic Church deacon Walter Middleton and his son Clinton have used their respective book proceeds to give back to the community. They donated 30 Cleaning Crusaders kits to the recyclers at Pikitup Garden Site, East Road, next to The Hill on June 24.
The kit consists of trousers, coats, raincoats, beanies and a blanket.
Walter said both books, Born to Serve and Your Only Limit is You available on Amazon and Takealot, have helped this project.
“I saw a great need to give to the recyclers this winter. They work very hard in unfavourable conditions to make a living. At the same time they are cleaning our environment hence I called them Cleaning Crusaders. I’m glad most of them got the kit, although there are almost 80 people there. Also, Grassroots Heroes International helped a lot with the donations,” he said.

One of the recyclers, Siyaja Ntsekhe said on behalf of the others they appreciate this kind gesture. “We thank the deacon for the support he has shown us. As recyclers we wish God to help him abundantly so that he can continue to bless others,” he said.
Clinton was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) at 30 and has written his book to encourage those with ADHD to overcome the limitations the condition can impose on their lives. He spent 14 years in the advertising industry.
In his career, he led large teams for local and international clients such as Coca-Cola, Deloitte, Dimension Data, Ford, Old Mutual and P&G.
He has dealt with ADHD most of his life but despite it, has managed to achieve incredible success in his personal and professional life. He has helped many others to do the same through his coaching practice, GrowThrough.
