Haksul Muziq and Kal-Kal Wholesaler partner to empower greater Alberton community

In an inspiring partnership, a local musician and a neighbourhood store call individuals to help them identify 100 disadvantaged families in the community who can benefit from essential food parcels.

In the heart of greater Alberton, a local musician and a neighbourhood store have teamed up in an inspiring initiative that is making a tangible difference in the lives of those in need.

For the past few years, the collaboration has been providing food parcels and support to disadvantaged individuals, a project driven by a deep sense of community and a shared vision of positive social change. Now they are calling the community to help them identify 100 disadvantaged families that they can help with food parcels.

The musician at the centre of this initiative, known by his stage name Haksul Muziq, has always felt a responsibility to give back.

For Haksul Muziq, the desire to uplift others through his art was a natural extension of his upbringing. His music, which emphasises the importance of action for positive change, has become a vehicle for him to engage with residents and make a real-world impact.

“My songs are often about life’s ups and downs and I believe in the power of unity to make our community a better place,” he said.

Through his ongoing collaboration with Kal-Kal Wholesaler, he has been able to provide essential food parcels to individuals in need, a gesture of generosity that aims to alleviate some of the burdens facing the less fortunate in the community.

The partnership’s success is built on the idea that collective action, whether from musicians, local businesses, or everyday citizens, can spark meaningful change.

Kal-Kal Wholesaler joined forces with Haksul Muziq after learning about his community-driven initiatives from a loyal customer.

The store manager of the wholesalers, Ali-Adan Olad, said that they saw potential in Haksul Muziq when one of their customers shared his efforts with them. The wholesaler’s support for the efforts has also led to a deeper understanding of the spirit of community.

“We wanted to support the community as well, so we decided to come on board. We learn from the leaders in the community and we adapt.

Haksul Muziq passes a certificate of appreciation to the store manager of Kal-Kal Wholesaler Ali-Adan Olad.

“We’ve seen the love and the struggle, and we want to be part of the solution. We’re proud to be associated with Haksul Muziq and look forward to expanding our support for children and other initiatives in the future,” he said.

Haksul Muziq is also deeply involved in youth empowerment programmes, where he works with young people to teach them the value of community, self-empowerment, and taking action to improve their lives. Through his music and his outreach, he hopes to show that art can be a powerful catalyst for social change.

“I believe that music, particularly the kind I create, encourages action. It’s not just about listening to the music. It is about using that inspiration to make real changes in our lives and our communities,” the talented musician said.

Both Haksul Muziq and the shop’s efforts underscore a message that transcends their contributions: the power of giving back.
As the supermarket’s representative aptly puts it, “When God gives, He gives so that you can help others. Don’t just receive – be there to support the people who uplift you as a store.”

Looking to the future, Haksul and the store are determined to continue their collaboration and expand their impact.
