Employment programme planned for residents of Eden Park and Greenfields

Unemployed residents from Eden Park and Greenfields can attend the Employment Services of South Africa programme, aimed at linking jobseekers with future employers.

The CoE, through its Department of Employment and Labour, in collaboration with the Community Services Department and the Social Development Division, will host its annual Employment Services of South Africa programme.

The initiative aims to register unemployed residents on the department’s employment database. Once registered, participants may be linked to upcoming job opportunities and potential employers seeking to expand their workforce.

Residents from Eden Park and Greenfields can attend one of the scheduled registration sessions at community halls.

Programme dates and venues:
• January 29: JD Thomas Hall from 09:00 to noon;
• January 30: Greenfields Hall from 09:00 to noon.

Attendees should bring their CVs and a black ink pen for registration purposes.

The city asks community stakeholders and residents to help mobilise unemployed youth and jobseekers to take advantage of this opportunity.

The programme is part of Ekurhuleni’s efforts to address unemployment.
