As a result of Fox Security’s activities in Alberton from April 29 to May 4, the following arrests were made.
• A house robber was arrested in Brackenhurst on April 29. According to Francois Jansen, Fox Security’s operations director, a community group notified him that someone jumped into a Brackenhurst property. “Our Fox members responded within seconds and managed to apprehend the suspect before he could gain access to the house.”
The suspect was handed over to Brackendowns SAPS.

• There were three arrests in Randhart and New Redruth on April 30 for house robberies in the Alberton area. Fox tactical members spotted the three suspects on Michelle Avenue in Randhart and pursued them. “Our officer was able to catch one of the three suspects,” said Jansen. A description of the two other suspects was shared among the members on May 1 and they were arrested in New Redruth.

It later emerged that the stolen goods were stolen from two properties within the same area the previous night. Consequently, the Fox Team apprehended the two suspects with stolen goods, drugs, and break-in instruments.

• Two robbers were apprehended on May 2. Information was received from Brackendowns CPF regarding a vehicle involved in a robbery in the Mayberry Park area the previous day. The lookout was given to all our Fox Security members to search for the vehicle involved. “One of our tactical units spotted the vehicle in Brackendowns and called for back-up from Brackendowns SAPS and Brackendowns CPF.”

In response to the robbery, Fox Security apprehended two suspects with a firearm.
• On May 4 another suspect was arrested in New Market. The suspect was arrested after stealing a client’s phone and several other goods from a local business. The suspect was taken to Alberton SAPS, and a case was opened.
