Operation O Kae Molao in Kliprivier roots out crime
On May 20, members from different units led Operation O Kae Molao in Kliprivier and Meyerton, which yielded good results.
With the intent to root out crime in the Sedibeng district, different law enforcers and stakeholders joined hands to conduct a second part of the crime-busting operation.
The different law enforcers began their day with a parade, which saw the many members converge at the Midvaal Municipal Office parking.
At least 225 people and 175 vehicles were searched. Seventeen vehicles were tested and 13 traffic fines were issued valued at R11 000.
Members also visited ATMs in the area, malls, railways, filling stations, taxi ranks and some hotspots.
Sergeant Tintswalo Ndhambi of Kliprivier SAPS said crime prevention wardens were welcomed during the operation.

“It was their first time joining Operation O Kae Molao. Members were advised that communities should feel their presence even after the operation was finished. Detectives were part of the operation to make sure that every docket that was opened will receive preliminary investigation to ensure prosecution,” she said.
Ndhambi said issues of civil claims were also addressed.
