CPS Security arrest arsonist suspect in New Redruth

Businessowners who had their businesses set on fire for the past two weeks are encouraged to visit Alberton SAPS as an arsonist was caught on act trying to set another business on fire.

For the past two weeks, several businesses in the Alberton area sustained major damages to their property and infrastructure due to an arsonist setting fire to the premises.

CCTV footage that was captured by one of the businesses’ cameras was received and circulated among CPS Security teams. It led to the suspect’s arrest on June 19.

The offender was apprehended while attempting to set fire to another business in Voortrekker Road, New Redruth.

CPS Security advised business owners to visit the Alberton Police Station, where the suspect is being held, if their place of business was involved in such incidents.
