38 arrested by Alberton SAPS

The Alberton SAPS made 38 arrests this weekend.

The Alberton SAPS put many units in their policing precincts to fight crime from June 23 to 25.

During a joint crime-busting operation on June 25, 38 suspects were arrested and escorted to the Alberton SAPS.
The operation saw other law enforcers, including local security companies and Home Affairs, join hands to fight crime.

“The members and other role players put the suspects behind bars. The arrested suspects were charged and taken to the local court. The joint components proved that together we could stop crime. Among the arrested were undocumented immigrants who were charged accordingly with assistance from Home Affairs,” explained Captain Manare Ramotshela of the Alberton SAPS.
