Over the past two weeks, CPS Security has made waves in the Alberton area with several significant arrests.

From nabbing burglars to wanted suspects, their proactive measures have led to a safer community.

• House breaker apprehended in Randhart

A vigilant resident on Langenhoven Street, Randhart, alerted CPS Security after witnessing suspicious activity. Responding swiftly, CPS Security’s tactical team arrested one suspect attempting to scale a resident’s wall. Despite the second suspect evading capture, they recovered stolen items, and the apprehended woman was charged with housebreaking, thanks to the collaboration with the EMPD’s Community Liaison Unit.

• Wanted suspect captured in Alberton North

Alberton SAPS detectives issued an arrest warrant for an individual who failed to appear in court after being apprehended for car theft in Alberton North. Following leads from the SAPS, CPS Security located the suspect in an informal settlement on Second Avenue in Alberton North. Despite an attempt to flee, they apprehended the suspect.

• Swift response foils Brackenhurst post-box theft

Reports of post-box theft in the Brackenhurst and Randhart areas prompted CPS Security’s quick action when a client reported suspicious activity. Their reaction and tactical teams intercepted a suspect trying to steal a post box.

• High-speed chase ends in arrest in Brackendowns

A dramatic car chase starting in Meyerton concluded in Brackendowns when suspects tried to steal a Toyota Fortuner in the Risiville area and triggered a license plate recognition (LPR) camera. The suspects fled towards the Brackendowns area, where they had an accident. The three suspects fled on foot.
“Officers apprehended one suspect at the scene, and two escaped,” said Tyrone van der Merwe, CPS Security’s sales director.

Officers found jammers, car break-in tools, false number plates, computer boxes and a stolen laptop in the suspects’ vehicle.

Thanks to collaborations with multiple units, including Afriguard, Brackendowns CPF and SAPS, Midvaal peace officers, Sekuriteit sonder Grense, the EMPD and CPS Security apprehended one suspect at the scene.
