EMPD nabs female suspect (85) for drugs
At least 280 Mandrax tablets, 21 Ziplocks of crystal meth and 17 packets of cat were seized during the EMPD’s recent bust.
EMPD officers arrested a female suspect for the possession of and possible dealing in illicit substances in Eden Park on July 26.
The members received information from a source in a house on Umbrella Street in Greenfields, Eden Park, that suspected drug deals were taking place.
The members acted swiftly on the information and visited the house in question.
“On arrival, they found an 85-year-old female suspect, who allowed the officers to enter and search the house. Upon searching the house, they found 280 Mandrax tablets, 21 Ziplock bags of crystal meth and 17 packets of cat,” EMPD spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Kelebogile Thepa said.

The officers arrested the suspect and took her to the Eden Park SAPS, where they charged her with possession and possible dealing in illicit substances.
Thepa said the confiscated illicit substances were booked under the SAP13 at the Eden Park SAPS. The arrested suspect will appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court.
