2 suspects arrested for hijacking and kidnapping in Kliprivier
Kliprivier SAPS are still searching for the remaining suspects involved in the hijacking and kidnapping.
A successful operation on December 4 resulted in the arrest of two suspects in Kliprivier.
Police officers took the suspects into custody for alleged involvement in a hijacking and kidnapping on the Golden Highway.
According to reports, the suspects hijacked the victim and took him to a secluded area in the Kliprivier bushes, where the two suspects guarded him.
Meanwhile, other suspects have driven away with the victim’s car.
A multi-agency team, comprising Sedibeng district infrastructure, K9 Search & Rescue, a Midvaal peace officer, Sectarian Risk Solution Security, Afri Guard Security, VIP Elite Security, Expo Security, and Tracker, collaborated to track the suspects.
This joint operation resulted in the successful arrest of the two suspects at their hiding place near bushes.
The arrest of two suspects is a significant breakthrough in the investigation, and authorities are working towards apprehending the remaining suspects involved in the hijacking and kidnapping.
