Vandalism affects water supply in parts of Alberton

Residents in parts of Alberton experienced a water service outage because of damaged water infrastructure discovered this morning, July 3.

Technicians are investigating the extent of the damage and will do the repairs. There is no estimated restoration time yet.

The affected areas include Albertsdal and a portion of Brackenhurst Ext 2.

The city will communicate developments to customers via their online platforms and has sent roaming water tankers to the affected regions.
