Salvation Foundation outreach programme reach those in need

The small field behind KFC in Florentia has become a designated spot for the Salvation Foundation as the foundation uses this place to preach the word of God and feed those in need.

Every Monday at 08:00, the Salvation Foundation hosts an outreach programme called Street Rehabilitation where they sing, worship, and share the encouraging Word of God with the people living on the street.

“We call it street rehabilitation as a way of taking rehabilitation to the street through faith and not a facility,” said the organisers of the programme.

This foundation not only brings the Word of God closer to people but also feeds the homeless. They hand out a hot meal with coffee and biscuits to those living on the street.

“We allow for a safe space for the homeless to ask for advice, prayer, or just listen when they need someone to listen to them,” they said.

The homeless know that on every Monday they should meet the Salvation Foundation in the small field area behind KFC in Florentia.
