Community unites for Haksul’s fundraiser
A day of music, joy and unity, Haksul Muziq’s fundraiser at Eden Ridge Primary School raised vital supplies for those in need and drew an incredible turnout from the community.
The community spirit shown at the community drive at Eden Ridge Primary School exceeded all expectations.
Organised by award-winning musician Haksul Muziq, the event raised essential supplies for disadvantaged families in the area. What began as a heartfelt initiative soon became a day of unforgettable moments, support and unity.
Haksul, real name Tokoloho Mavuso, has long been a beloved figure on the local music scene. After achieving significant success in his music career, he turned his attention to a cause close to his heart: supporting the needy residents of Eden Park and its surrounding areas.
Haksul said the turnout at the event was remarkable.
“Honestly speaking, I didn’t expect so much support, especially from the community. They came in numbers. It was a successful event, and without everyone involved, it wouldn’t have pulled through the way it did,“ Haksul said with gratitude.
Touching lives
Among the most touching moments of the day was the handout of donations to the children.

The smiles, laughter and excitement of the young ones when they received their gifts brought joy to everyone involved.
Another highlight was the crowning of Mr and Miss Eden Ridge, where the children showed their talents and potential while their proud parents cheered them on.
“That moment gave me goosebumps, especially seeing the parents screaming their sons’ and daughters’ names. I wished I could go back to being young again. These kids have talent, and the entertainment team ensured we had the best contest ever,” Haksul said.
The event’s success would not have been possible without the help of many individuals and organisations.
Haksul thanked the artists who contributed, including Bassie, Aymos, Xeinsoul, MFR Souls, Spetla, R Zin Sound, Khanya Greens, KFM, and Nkunzi from Smoke N Mirrors.

“A huge thank you to all these artists for bringing their energy and making the event unforgettable. And, of course, our cameraman, Reckon Visuals; he’s our man of the match,” the artist said.
Thanks also went to local businesses and donors who contributed to the event, including New Kal Kal Wholesalers, which donated toothpaste, soaps and sanitary pads, and Eden Park Clr Dino Peterson, who also contributed.
Reflecting on the day, Haksul’s passion for community service was evident.
“I thank everyone who was part of this event. Your support means the world to me, and I’m already excited to do it all again next year,” Muziq said.
