Sentinel Security supports Brackendowns SAPS with generous donation
Sentinel Security has reaffirmed its commitment to community safety by donating essential resources to Brackendowns SAPS. With the festive season approaching, the donation of four new tyres has enabled critical police vehicles to return to service, ensuring law enforcement can respond effectively to emergencies.

Sentinel Security continues its unwavering commitment to enhancing public safety in the community.
In a significant display of support for the Brackendowns SAPS and the broader Brackendowns CPF, Sentinel Security recently stepped forward with a generous donation to get two Brackendowns SAPS vehicles back on the road.
Through strong partnerships with local law enforcement and a proactive approach to crime prevention, Sentinel has become a trusted name in the fight against crime.
Sentinel Security stepped in to help Brackendowns SAPS after the Brackendowns CPF asked them to get several police vehicles back on the road.
The request highlighted the critical role that operational vehicles play in law enforcement’s ability to respond to emergencies promptly.
The director of Sentinel Security, Gian Barbera, said broken vehicles hinder the efficiency of police services and impact their ability to respond quickly to crimes and emergencies.
“We saw this as an opportunity to make an impact by ensuring Brackendowns SAPS has the resources to keep our community safe. “This is why helping the local CPF when they asked is important,” Gian said.
A meaningful contribution
Sentinel Security’s donation of four new bakkie tyres was instrumental in getting critical vehicles back into operation.
These vehicles are essential for patrolling, responding to calls, and maintaining law and order.
Gian said with the approaching festive season and its heightened risk of crime, having these vehicles fully operational ensures the SAPS can provide a fast and effective response when it matters most.
Neville Wilson and the team at Straight Line Tyres also played a vital role in making the donation a reality. Their generosity and swift action allowed the vehicles to be serviced and back on the streets promptly.
“By supporting Brackendowns SAPS and the CPF, we are not only contributing to the maintenance of public order but also directly assisting in improving the response capabilities of local law enforcement.
“We believe a safer community is one where everyone works together, and we are proud to play our part in making that happen,” Gian expressed.
SAPS gratitude
The Alberton Record contacted the station commander of Brackendowns SAPS, Colonel Jacoline van der Westhuizen, regarding the matter.
She said they were grateful for the generous donations and services they received from Sentinel Security.
“As much as we are not permitted to speak to the media directly, we are delighted to have these vehicles up and running to render services to locals,” she said.
The Alberton Record then contacted the spokesperson of Gauteng SAPS captain Neldah Sekgobela regarding the procedure that needs to be followed when an SAPS vehicle has been reported to be broken.
She said she knew nothing about the procedure as she deals with crime only.
