EMPD have confirmed that the cause of the accident is under investigation.
A motorist lost their life in a serious crash on the N3 southbound near the Grey Avenue on-ramp in Alberton on the morning of June 14.
According to EMPD media liaison officer Millicent Kekana, the collision occurred just after the Grey Avenue on-ramp when a truck transporting sand allegedly lost control and overturned.

She said the driver of the light motor vehicle succumbed to injuries at the scene, while the truck driver was not injured.
