Young boxer shines at Alberton Boxing Club tournament

Twenty boxing clubs from across Gauteng came together in Alberton for a development tournament filled with powerful punches, thrilling bouts and raising young talent

The Alberton Boxing Club Development Tournament on March 7 brought an exciting day of boxing to the community, with young fighters from across Gauteng showing their skills in the ring.

Twenty boxing clubs participated in the tournament, creating a competitive atmosphere as young fighters stepped into the ring, determined to prove themselves.

One of the standout performers of the day was a 15-year-old Augusto Kentsop from Alberton Boxing Club. He competed in the 55kg weight division.

Augusto impressed spectators with his strategic boxing skills and confident performance.

His precise movements and thoughtful approach in the ring set him apart, earning him the division title.

Fighters showcased powerful punches, strong technique and determination as they battled it out in the ring.

The tournament gave young boxers the opportunity to gain experience while showcasing their talent to the community.
