The case against Katiso ‘KT’ Molefe and his three co-accused has been transferred to the Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg for trial on February 5.
Molefe made a brief appearance before the Alexandra Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, alongside his co-accused, Michael Pule Tau, Tiego Floyd Mabusela, and Musa Kekana.

The four face charges in connection with multiple assassinations of high-profile individuals, including the fatal shooting of popular musician Oupa ‘Dj Sumbody’ Sefoka, and his two bodyguards, Sibusiso Mokoena and Sandile Myeza, in 2022.
Last month, the state requested a postponement to December 3, as it sought to finalise the process of centralising additional dockets. These include the docket relating to the brutal shooting of Vereeniging engineer Armand Swart and the killing of Hector ‘DJ Vintos’ Buthelezi.
At the time, the National Prosecuting Authority in Gauteng said it was still awaiting feedback on the centralisation application submitted to the national director of public prosecutions, and would transfer the matter to the High Court once it was received.

On Wednesday, the state confirmed its readiness to transfer the matter to trial, noting to the court that the critical documents, including the transfer documentation and a copy of the indictment, were all ready. Now, the four accused will face trial next year in February.
Meanwhile, after the matter was transferred, two bodyguards, aged 24 and 36, believed to have been escorting Molefe, were arrested outside the court.
According to national police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe, the two were found in possession of two semi-automatic AKM rifles and ammunition without valid permits.
