Bridgestone South Africa CEO resigns
Bridgestone South Africa has announced the resignation of CEO Gavin Young.
Seasoned Bridgestone executive, Mr Mete Ekin – Regional Managing Director for the Middle East and Africa, an experienced figure in the tyre industry, especially in developing economies, will in the interim take charge of Bridgestone South Africa.
Resigning from the position to execute against the company’s strategic goals, Gavin Young will be pursuing other interests from 07 June 2019. Appointed in June 2016, Mr Young has led important initiatives to drive growth and profitability for the last three years in Bridgestone’s South African operations.
The announcing to the appointment of a new CEO will come at a later stage.
