Medical centre showers families with love

In partnership with its sponsors and patients, Kloof Road Medical Centre in Bedfordview gave disadvantaged families a Christmas to remember.
Organised by Mrs Eve Moodley, the event took place on December 6 and saw homeless people and those living in dilapidated houses in Brakpan receiving groceries.
Children of beneficiaries received gifts from Santa Clause.
Mrs Naidoo told the NEWS that the beneficiaries were given good quality products.
“As much as we could have bought the toys at a cheaper price elsewhere, I felt the need to give them the best that we could, as the sponsors donated from the bottom of their hearts,” she added.
She thanked everyone who made the event possible.
“These include Dosco, all the patients, as well as members of the community who heeded our call for help. We really appreciate their support in making it possible for the less advantaged to have a warm meal this Christmas,” said Mrs Naidoo.
In 2013, the centre brought smiles to little children living at Compass Orphanage in Edenvale.
According to Mrs Moodley, this year’s instalment of the project also benefited a charity in Durban.
“We split the money between the two projects and bought gifts for children in Durban,” she added.
