Youth club makes a difference in the community
The youth centre will host a music festival and talent contest this year.

The Revival Valley Youth Club and the Welfare Centre in Bez Valley offer counselling, extramural activities and encourage young people to talk about the challenges they face in their daily lives.
The founder of the club, Franco van Lingen, said the club currently has 15 youngsters.
The team meets every weekend and during school holidays at Bez Valley.

Michelle Makamu, who has been part of the Revival Valley Youth Club since 2013, said the experience at the youth club has been amazing.
“The youth club keeps me busy during weekends and school holidays. It has thought me to be humble and more focused and to know what I want in life.
“We also travel a lot and we recently went to a youth camp. Bible study groups keep us occupied and focused,” said Makamu.
Van Lingen said the youth centre will host a music festival and talent contest this year.

“The event will bring the youth of Bez Valley and surrounds together. It will also be an opportunity to build a working relationship between the club and the community,” he said.
