Woman arrested for boyfriend’s murder
The suspect, identified as the victim’s girlfriend, was arrested and is currently detained at Bedfordview SAPS.
Members of the Bedfordview SAPS arrested a woman for the alleged murder of her boyfriend in Elandsfontein.
On April 6 at approximately 20:00, police were conducting routine patrols in Sector 3 when they received a distress call reporting a murder at Mabondeni Skwata Camp in Elandsfontein.
“Upon arrival, officers discovered the lifeless body of an African male, covered with a blanket and bearing visible stab wounds to the chest.

“A silver knife with bloodstains on it was found nearby,” said Bedfordview SAPS communications liaison officer, Sergeant Lillian Modiga.
She said the victim’s girlfriend, who was present at the scene, admitted to stabbing him following a heated argument.
“The incident appears to be related to gender-based violence. Paramedics on the scene confirmed the victim’s death. His body was transported to the Germiston Mortuary.
“The suspect, identified as the victim’s girlfriend, was arrested and is currently detained at Bedfordview SAPS,” stated Modiga.
She is expected to appear in court soon to face charges of murder.
