“Office days are a thing of the past. Management must ensure service delivery is delivered to residents,” he said.
To strengthen accountability and monitor progress, the City Manager announced that senior managers will now be required to submit weekly reports every Friday.
The reports will track service delivery outcomes and ensure that commitments made translate into tangible improvements for communities.
The directive forms part of the City of Ekurhuleni’s broader Fixing the Frontline programme, which aims to improve efficiency, responsiveness and accountability across municipal services.
