I have been feeding feral cats for some time now.

Each and every afternoon nine of these beautiful cats gather around my front door, waiting to be fed.
When they see me, they put me under intense pressure, so that I should hurry up.

They have this uncanny ability to make sure that I feel guilty if I am out of sync with their dietary expectations.
I once attempted to feed them kitty pellets – salmon flavour I might add – and all turned their noses up and left in disgust.
Once I reverted to meaty tins, relations improved.
The question is whether I should be feeding them or not…
If I do not feed them, they will surely die prematurely, but either way, it seems their life expectancy is short.
I would appreciate an objective opinion from a cat expert and in particular, a feral cat expert.
