Golf cart involved in accident
A man is lucky to be alive after a vehicle collided with his golf cart, at the Benoni Lake Golf Club, on Tuesday, last week.

Gavin Taylor drove his cart from the clubhouse area to the zebra crossing, which links the front and back nine of the course.
He arrived at the crossing and a car on each side stopped for him.
As he proceeded over the road, a car travelling from his left hand side overtook the stationary vehicle and collided with the front of his golf cart.
Taylor said the vehicle was travelling at least 80km/h when it hit him and the driver of the car nearly rolled his vehicle in the process.
‘‘I was very lucky and very fortunate to come out with no injuries or broken bones,’’ said Taylor.
The Benoni Lake Golf Club chief executive Andrew Bromley said their have been five incidents of vehicle accidents on this stretch of road in the last eight months.
He said the club has been trying to secure a traffic calming measure at this zebra crossing for the past 15 years.
Bromley said a lot of people exceed the speed limit on Lakefield Avenue or simply do not stop at the zebra crossing.
Bromley, with the assistance of Clr Mary Goby, started a petition to secure a traffic calming measure at the problematic crossing.
The petition already has over 90 signatures and Goby hopes to present it to council in time for the October 31 meeting.
