HobbiTech 2014 around the corner

The Rotary Club of Benoni Van Ryn will be holding their 10th annual hobbies exhibition, on April 5 and 6, at the John Barrable Hall, in Rynfield.

This fundraiser, in support of charitable work and donations managed by Rotary, sets up popular hobby, sport and society exhibits for the community’s viewing pleasure.

A tasty braai and bacon butties, tea, coffee, cakes and other fare from the fully equipped kitchen will be on offer for hungry tummies.

The following are some attractions that can be looked forward to:

  • EMPD canine display team will be there on both days at 11am.
  • The SA Blood Service will be on hand for the convenience of potential or existing blood donors.
  • An assortment of hobbies, including stained glass, war games, model soldiers, mosaics, philately, artists, quilting, model trains, therapy dogs, lace-making and cake decorating.
  • The army display promises to be bigger and better than last year.

Exhibitors are encouraged to apply via The Rotary Club of Benoni Van Ryn website, at rotaryvanryn.org.za.

Demonstrations and live activities that will be interesting for all ages are encouraged.

The event will be open from 9.30am till 4.30pm on both days.
