Two women injured in collision
Two women sustained minor injuries when a taxi and a truck collided at the intersection of Putfontein and Kingsway roads, on August 21.

ER24’s Glen Orritt said the accident occurred just before 7pm.
“On arrival paramedics found that a taxi and truck had collided. Paramedics were ushered to the taxi where they found a passenger, a woman in her 40s, still seated inside the front passenger side,” said Orritt.
Orritt said the woman had no way of getting out of the taxi as the collision had caused the dashboard to collapse on her legs.
Rescue equipment was used to free the woman who remained conscious and suffered only minor injuries.
She was taken to the Sunshine Hospital by ER24.
“The second injured person was also a woman in her 40s who suffered minor injuries and was also taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance,” said Orritt.
Orritt thanked the Benoni CPF for their assistance.
