Ebotse shooting case postponed

The case against the man accused of shooting dead a man and his son at the luxury Ebotse Golf and Country Estate, has been postponed.

The accused, Retief Liebenberg, will have to wait until November to have his murder case heard.
He is accused of shooting Dewalt Visser senior (46) and his son, Dewalt “Poenie” Visser (20), at Ebotse on October 31, 2013.
The case was postponed when he appeared briefly in the Pretoria High Court, on March 23, and will now be heard from November 2 to 6.
The trial was moved from the Benoni Magistrates Court to the Delmas High Court on June 17, last year.
It was due to start in Delmas on Wednesday, but, for unknown reasons, was moved to the Pretoria High Court by the Director of Public Prosecutions.
